1. The palliative care group here is great! Thanks to them all for the work they do during the end of life stages many of us have experienced.
Ans: Not an easy undertaking. They deserve lots of credit !
2. During this pandemic there's no palliative support. Just heard of a dying resident in pain who was forced to wait for pain medication because the nurse was "in a meeting". Pretty revealing attitiude amongst some here. There's some very good staff here,but some need to be removed.
Ans: Meetings are important. More than seniors' lives, it appears. We heard also during this day shift the phones went unanswered. Hiring unsuitable employees exposes residents to neglect and danger. The management is responsible for this. (Staff's unacceptable performance also unfairly reflects on the many competent employees.)
Failing to remove "unsuitable" personnel ultimately results in disaster...remember Elizabeth Wettlauffer...
